Biography

Venelina Petkova
Born 1979 in Varna, Bulgarian coastal city.

In general I am a self-studied person, but I visited and I still go on visiting an art course with a professional art tutor.

I like graphic materials, as charcoal. I also use soft pastels, watercolors.

I have also studied Contemporary Arts in Sofia University, Bulgaria. This is a master program with emphasis on contemporary art history and philosophy.

Venelina Petkova

Visual art has always been a big affection of mine, and one way or another I finally started painting.

In general I am a self-studied person, but I visited and I still go on visiting an art course with a professional art tutor.

I like graphic materials, as charcoal. I also use soft pastels, watercolors.

I feel I still have a long way before me and I hope life will let me to walk it through.

I have also studied Contemporary Arts in Sofia University, Bulgaria. This is a master program with emphasis on contemporary art history and philosophy.

I have also long been a life model for artists and students in the National Academy, Sofia. This helped me learn a lot about the painting process.

I feel attracted by a variety of themes and subjects, but mostly concrete painting.
